How Can You Sell Your Stuff?

Sturdy Used Gear sells consigned outdoor gear, apparel, footwear and accessories. We focus on the items you need to get outside and enjoy our local outdoor sports, such as mountain biking, cycling, camping/backpacking, climbing, paddling, disc golf, etc.
The brands we accept on consignment are the high quality outdoor brands you would find at any major outdoor retailer. We accept Patagonia, Cotopaxi, Topo Designs, Prana, Arc’Teryx, Chaco, Saloman, Marmot, The North Face, Rapha, and many, many others. If you’re not sure, just ask!
All items brought in for consignment must be clean (don’t be nasty), gently used, and operational. -
Athletic sports gear (Basketball, Football, Baseball, Hockey, etc.)
-Mountaineering Gear
-Skis and Ski Equipment
-Vintage Apparel and Gear (if it can’t be relied on, we don’t want it!)
-Hunting Gear and Clothing
-Exercise Equipment
-Big Name Brands or Department Store Brands
Cycling/Biking
-Helmets Older Than 3 years old
Climbing
-Weight Bearing Equipment Used Harnesses/Ropes/Carabiners (Unless New w/ Tag and Unused)
Accessories
-Used Water Filter Systems or Filters
Electronics
Watches/GPS Devices/Fitbits/Etc.
Footwear
-Big Name Brands or Department Store Brands
Pricing Policy
-To price your items, we’ll work with you to agree on a price to sell your product.
-A good rule of thumb is to set the price at 50% of the items current retail price, plus or minus some value dependent on the items' overall condition and age.
- Brand-new items must be discounted a minimum of 20% off the current retail price.
The Consignment Process
Because we do not have a physical shop (yet!) please email shop@sturdyusedgear.com with any consignment requests. We will pick-up your gear to be sold at a future pop-up.
Before Consignment:
- Clean and assess your items for cleanliness, defects, and missing parts
- Email shop@sturdyusedgear.com with any questions.
- Compile a list of your items featuring:
1. Brand
2. Description of item
3. The original MSRP
4. How much you would like to sell the item for (max 80% of current retail price)
- Our employees will assess the condition of your gear
- You and our employees will negotiate what price the gear will sell for
After Consignment:
- Your items will be tagged and merchandised at our Pop-ups.
- Your items will hopefully sell! Go on with your life!
Payment Policy:
All payments will be made to consignors either via Paypal or mailed check.
